EZ Loc Brass Grommets,


Tonight’s show was just bowls. From templates to installation Ken and John covered it all. They talked about china bowls, solid surface bowls, Stainless Steel bowls and fiberglass reinforced bowls. They also covered all the most common ways to install the bowls.

Under mount Installation was the thrust of this segment. The guys covered the under mount sink setter, great for installing cast iron sinks. They also demonstrated the new Peel N Stick sink clips as well as the Romy Clamps and the sink undermounters. This was a great segment to watch if you’re unsure as to how all these items work.

LOBO 10: Table Saw, JDS Dust Force Collector, Modulus Scoring Saw Attachment

Tonight’s show was our first back after a few months of. Ken and John quickly got back into the spirit of the show and, as usual, brought lots of laughs into the demonstrations. Tools covered tonight were the LOBO Table Saw, the Modulus Scoring unit and the JDS Dust Collectors

In tonight’s show Ken and John were joined by Vince Girlovich, the Vice President of sales for Fein Powertools. The main topic of conversation was dustless sanding but a wide range of the Fein line was touched on. In segment two John put the Turbo I to the lift test as he “suspended” himself on stage with a vac hose stuck to his head. Will these guys ever give up?

Perfect repairs in wood are made simple with the Lamello Biscuit Joiner and a special cutter. The Lamello Cantex Flush Milling Machine makes quick work of the wood when attaching edges to laminate tops and panels. The guys also demonstrate the Lamello Lamina. The Lamina is a multi purpose trimmer for plastic laminate, wood veneer and edgebanding. The Lamina is great for trimming 3mm PCV banding.

Ken and John begin fabrication of the Weavers vanity top templated in our last episode. Seam leveling, 3M Univac Papers and preperation for the drop edge are discussed.

This Segment is an introduction to Dani Clamps. Dani quickly covers why they are actually different than standard PVC. Clamp applications in this episode include edge buildup, bevel edge glue up, v-groove glue up and  applying edge treatment.

Laminate tools were the focus of the first half of this weeks show. We covered contact cement rollers, sprays and application methods. We also covered trimming with our Mica File bit. In the second half Ken demonstrated the proper application of plug repairs in solid surface materials.

Festool Plunge Saws, Guide Rails, Dust Extractors, Virutex Coving Router

This weeks show covered the Festool Plunge Saws, the Guide Rails, the Dust Extractors and the Virutex Coving Router. We also did a repeat performance of the HiPer 11” Sander. The sander shown on the priors weeks episode was damaged. Other than a couple of power problems the show went pretty well.

Our second show went as fast for our viewers as it did for our staff. Approximately 20 sanders were demonstrated amidst the humor of both Ken and John during the almost one hour episode of all about tools live (a new tool show broadcast live via the Internet). Almost twice as many people logged on to see what was up this week with these two comical hosts of the show. The show airs Tuesday evenings at 9pm EST. This was our first show and other than a few technical problems we had a riot. Our staff was there to help with stage setup and the message boards. Our Instant Message idea worked well and many joined the chat room. The comments on the first show were all positive.

In this segment Ken and John demonstrated and discussed the Modulu Scoring Saw attachment. The Modulus received IWF’s Challengers Award in 1986 and it continues to be a favorite for the small shop cutting melamine and laminate products.
